Grain harvesting has begun in Uzbekistan

According to the information service of the Ministry of Agriculture, grain harvesting began in Surkhandarya region on May 25. Harvesting in the southern regions tends to be carried out without losses.

Depending on the ripeness of the ears, the start of grain harvesting is scheduled for:

June 1-5 in Kashkadarya, Bukhara and Navoi regions;

June 6-10 in Andijan, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Namangan, Syrdarya, Tashkent and Ferghana regions;

June 11-15 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region.

In 2022, 1 million 32 thousand hectares of irrigated land were sown with grain crops in the republic. It is expected that 7.8 million tons of crops will be harvested from these areas, which is 1.1 million tons more than last year.

2 thousand 633 grain harvesting units have been created in the country for high-quality grain harvesting in a short time.

3 thousand 382 high-performance combine harvesters, 13 thousand 675 trucks, 1 thousand 498 tractor trailers, 1 thousand 374 mobile workshops and 1 thousand 425 automobile filling stations are attached to these detachments.

Today, combine harvesters can harvest the entire crop in 25-30 days, the information service said.

Recall that from June 1, the state began to purchase grain at market prices, and farmers and clusters received the right to sell grain through the exchange.

The President of the country at a recent video conference stressed that the minimum purchase price of 1 ton of wheat from last year's 1.55 million soums increases to 3 million soums for this year's harvest.
